The Transfagarasan highway is a famous highway that goes up into the mountains.
When we came up it was windy, cold, and rainy. We didn’t need to go up the gondola because we had our own car.
Up in the mountains was a big swish of fog climbing up the hills, as if to chase us. Our eyes searched the mountain side, searching for bears or any other animals.
We got to a touristy area with stores and a busy road and we soon realized it was where the lake was.
After the roads cleared we went through a tunnel and as we popped out the sky was even darker than the other side. We got donuts, and just when we hopped back into the car an alert sounded!
There was going to be an electric storm. We found a place to pull over and waited till the storm died down. Then we drove back to the bottom of the highway.
It was a pretty interesting experience on the highway and I really liked it!

That sounds rather exciting Milly Moo. Storms can make things quite adventurous. Did you see any animals or was the weather keeping them away?
Hope you watched out for logging trucks - another crashed here yesterday - not the place for those who get car sick - how did you go Ruby?
Heavens how ignorant am I. I had no knowledge of this highway through the Carpathian mountains - what an amazing journey you are all having
