Coming Back Home!

Here we were, after our long trip through Asia and Europe we were coming home. Our plane to Auckland was going to start boarding any minute now and I was sitting in the airport with my family. We all had very mixed emotions, some of us were sad to be finishing the trip and wanted it to continue forever while others were excited to come home. As for me, I was happy to be coming home since we had been away for a year and I missed my friends and extended family. But it was also sad knowing that the trip was coming to an end.

Our plane flight lasted twelve hours! We spent most of the time watching movies and trying to get some sleep. When we finally arrived in Auckland it was the afternoon, when we had left Hong Kong it had been around nine in the evening. We had to stay in Aucklands airport for a couple of hours until our flight back to New Plymouth.

After a longer wait then expected, there was a delay, we finally boarded our flight and took our seats. As we flew over the water I watched out the window anxious for a glimpse of the mountain. When I saw the mountain I tried to take a photo but failed. When we landed in the airport I was buzzing with excitement, I was so excited to see my family, Freinds, Dogs and house again.

I knew that the trip had been a once in a life time opportunity and I had had a really great time doing it! It has definitely broadened my horizons ad was an amazing experience. But after a whole year of being away, I was ready to come back home.
