The Sound of Music in Salzburg, Austria. By Hazel.

Yesterday we went on a bike trip for mum's birthday . It took two hours to get to Salzburg.

Before we got to the tour we had lunch at a buffet where you could choose your dishes. The buffet was filled with people that were chattering all over the place. Dad, Ruby and l ate sausages and pretzels. The foods we had were traditional, mainly the sausage . Mummy came back with a strudel and a potato dumpling, sauerkraut and roast pork. Ruby and I ate some of the strudel because mummy was full.

After we had lunch we started walking to the bike tour. It took us ten minutes to get there.

We all got our bikes ready to go. Finally the bike tour began.

First we rode our bikes to Mirabelle Gardens where the Von Trapp children and Maria sang Do Ray Me in the movie. The garden was next to a mansion.

After that we rode our bikes to the square where Maria sang ' I have confidence' in front of the fountain.

We rode along the river and saw the house that the family lived in, in the movie.

Next we rode to a park to see the gazebo glasshouse where the filmed 'I am sixteen going on seventeen'.

After that we had to go up a very big and steep hill and at the top was Maria's church.

We got to listen to all of the Sound Of Music songs on our tour and mum had the speaker in her bike basket! After we finished the tour we got ice cream. I has Nutella and hazelnut flavours.

This was the best day of my life!
