In Romania we went to an open air museum called ASTRA museum in Sibiu. I loved the house designs with the straw roofs.

The museum showed the oldest houses to the modern ones. The museum was 10km long! The museum was built in the Dumbrava forest. The trees were very tall and made everything shady. I loved the insides of the houses. They actually put blankets and bookshelves and other furniture in them. The houses were made out of wood but the windmills were made out of stone and wood. One of the gardens showed masks that are used in festivals.

We each had a peach as we walked around. I was going gluten free for the day so I had a gluten free snack with Mila.

While we were there we got to try different crafts. We made leather bracelets and painted flowers on wooden blocks.

I loved the Museum, it was the best in history!

Going on a Daddy-Hazel date is always special. Going to the Athletics Meet would have been really interesting. You can imagine now what it will be like to be at the Paris Olympics next year. Did you get to choose what you wanted to do? Super writing Hazel.

Hazel - you really did well with the painting blocks and your bracelets.

So many new adventures. The museum sounded amazing with so many exhibits. So glad you found it. Thanks for sharing this.

Yes Hazel, I loved the bracelets and painted wooden art. What a fascinating place that must have been. So much to see in such a large location. Thanks for the report Haze.
