We were picked up in the morning to go visit the elephants. On the way we met people from Israel and Jordan. Once we got there puppies jumped on us. There were so many puppies. We walked along the bamboo track to the elephants gate. We got handed baskets off bananas to feed the elephants. To feed the elephants you put the bananas in their trunk and then they slurp them up into their mouths.
After we fed the elephants we went to the meeting house to talk about the elephants. The instructor gave us all a pair of shorts and a top so that our other clothes didn't get dirty. We went outside and we went to a big bucket of bananas and filled our buckets with bananas.

We also fed them sugar cane. When they eat it they crunch it up with their strong trunks to eat little bits at a time.

Then we went for a little walk with the elephants to the mud pools. Before that we got changed into our togs because we were going to get in too! We went in two mud pools and I had so much fun swimming in the mud and splashing mud over the elephants.

I like mud too. Arthur
Elephants are such beautiful creatures. How fortunate to get so close to them and interact in that way. I bet you are an elephant expert now Haze. I wonder if the children or the elephants were having the most fun.
We just found your blog and wow what amazing adventures you are having. We might need to buy some elephants, snakes or tigers for when you come to visit us in Hamburg to make it worth the visit... 😳
Wow, that looks and sounds like so much fun Hazel!
Great reporting Hazel. Did you have to have a shower after all that mud? Love Grandma and Grandad XXX
