I went to the Harry Potter experience while we were in London. It showed the studio sets, costumes and creatures.
When we got there, there was a huge statue of a dragon hanging under the tall roof of the building. The dragon was so massive and it looked like it was flying.
When we came to the end of that room there was a long line leading to the beginning of the tour. The line lead past pictures and posters of the characters and the movies. I got a picture with Harry Potter and Mila got one with Ron.
After the line was finished we were lead into the banquet hall where the students ate their meals and the sorting hat announced their houses.
A guide told us some facts about the hall and tricks to make Hagrid look bigger.
After that we went into a gigantic room even bigger than the other. It was like a maze. We saw some butter beer in pipes. We could use magic by commanding a broomstick to go UP into our hands, we got to learn some moves with wands and we also got to go in a fully green screen room and fly on a broomstick.
Did you know that the actor for Malfoy bleached his hair for all the movies even though they tried to get him to wear a wig. After the movies his hair was ruined.
Next we got out of the ginormous room and went into the forbidden forest set. It was dark and we could see the spiders from the Chamber of Secrets. It also showed the Hippogriff. If you don't know what the hippogriff is, I'll tell you. It's a gigantic bird.
It also showed you Hagrid's dog.
Next we went to Gringott's bank. It had a huge sparkling chandelier with diamonds hanging from the roof. There were two long desks on either side of the room and at the very end there was a special desk for the head banker. We went into another room where the chained dragon was kept in the room of requirement. There was a 3D projector and the dragon raced towards us.
Next we went into Diagon Alley where Harry got his wand and owl. Also where the candy shop was at the start of the Half Blood Prince. There were stores and cottages side by side without any gaps in between. We have seen heaps of houses like that in London. There was also newspapers and posters saying WANTED. One of the wanted people was Bellatrix.
After that we went into the wand shop. Each wand box named one of the people who worked on the movie. There were 5000 of them. There was a sign that said 'The stories we love best do live in us forever so whether you come back by page or by big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.' J.K. Rowling.
After that we went outside and there was Harry Potters Aunty's house and his cupboard under the stairs, the flying car, Hagrid's flying motorbike, the school's greenhouse and the night bus. In the greenhouse we got to pull up the plants and they made screaming noises.
The last room we went into was the art room. The art room showed all of the designs of the creatures like Dobby. It also showed how they made the goblin masks and costumes. The designers would put a mask mould on the actor's face then they would put the makeup and fake hair on. They made lots of ideas for the giants and goblins so that each one looked very different.
Finally we got back to the first room with the dragon hanging from the roof. That was a very fun experience and I'll remember it forever!

I love Harry Potter Haze. I must admit I am a wee bit jealous that you got this experience. So happy that you loved it so much though and thanks for the detailed report.
Hazel, I know you loved this - you have been talking about it non-stop 🤣. But this post is so full of information and enthusiasm - well done - I loved reading it
