Taroko National Park
Taroko National Park is a wildlife Gorge in Hualin. To get there we caught the bus at six am as it got very busy after that time and it would be hard to get on.
Outside my window I could tell it was going to be a sunny day. When we got there the information centre was closed. The only information we had was the information on dad’s phone.
On the walk we went on there were two tunnels. One was a shortcut and the other for ventilation. There were lots of steps and an equal amount of up and down.
At one point, I was ahead of everyone else and I heard a swaying in the trees. I looked up and there was a monkey! I quietly called to the others but the monkey was gone.
After that it was downhill for a while. Then the path was straight. We were underneath a stone roof! Water dripped on us lots.
We passed some local stalls and Mum got some coffee. She didn’t like it. We found a place to stop and eat, Ruby, Mum, Dad and Hazel had orange cheese breads. I had a sushi triangle. It wasn't enough, I was still hungry.
We caught the bus again to another part of the gorge. This area had a cliff that was super steep, it gave me the heeby Jeebies.
Close by there was a food place. By now my tummy was crying and I was hoping for food. There was only mango ice cream which was really expensive. Later on mum remembered she brought a muesli bar! I ate it happily.
After that we got ice cream which was much cheaper than the other ones. My chocolate one was really good.
It was time to go home now, we waited at the bus station for ages and had to cram in once the bus got there. We got out at the train station and I burnt my finger trying to get cold water. While I was putting my finger under cold water in the bathroom I watched two big beige worms climb up the wall. It was fun.
On the train back to our Hostel I decided I wanted to get some sleep after our big fun day out
