We drove through winding hills and mountains till we reached a little church that lay amongst trees. We strode through a gate, which was the start of our walk. There was a crumpled dirt path that led along through bursting wildlife; goats bells rang, birds chirped, and the flowers danced and swayed in the light breeze. We emerged out of the path and the suns heat screamed down on us.
The path morphed into stony steps and the church was now a tiny speck in the distance. After a while, the trees got shorter and shorter, that was our hint that the air was getting thinner and thinner. The goat’s bells got louder, yet we still couldn’t see them. Lizards darted in fright as we trekked through the path.
Mount Zaz was believed to be where Zeus grew up. He stayed in a cave somewhere on the mountain while Rhea cared for him.
We shared a packet of Haribos gummy bears, and skulled bottles of water. Soon we passed a stone pit which couldn’t have been natural. All around us were shrubs and rocks. The rocks shot out of the ground like they were daggers being pierced through the mountain. Dad pointed out the peak for us, and it wasn’t too far up. Now that we were closer to the top more people were dotted here and there.
I leaped from rock to rock, having loads of fun. Once we finally reached the top I realized we were on a cliff, a huge drop that landed on another mountain of rocks. The trees below seemed to be on an angle, as if trying to reach the top of the hill, but never succeeding.
To our delight (or maybe just mine) we could see the goats, an adorable family of them with a super cute kid. We maneuvered toward them to get a closer look as they disappeared towards whatever business goats do, though that’s probably just eat, eat and eat some more.
The sky was cloudy with patches of bright blue trying to peek through. The sun streamed through, but luckily a cloud was drifting over us so we didn’t have to worry about getting super overheated.
We celebrated with a whole lot more yummy yummy gummy bears. They were sweet and tasty as they dissolved in my mouth. What a day. A certainly enjoyable day.

Well Mila, that was quite a climb and an absolutely delightful explanation of it. I loved the part about the goats and the clouds. I can only imagine how fit you all are with all the walking and climbing you have been doing. Gummy bears and water would have been most welcome I'm sure. A wonderful report Mila, thank you. Nana and Granddad.
