Making friends in Taiwan -By Hazel

When we were in Taipei me and Mila made a friend called Emily. We had met her the day before when we were on the playground. We organised to see them the next day at the playground again. After playing for a long time we had to go, but then Emily's dad requested we could go to his home town from when he was a kid. Mum said yes. Me, Mila and Emily were so happy.

To get to Emily's dad's home town we had to catch a bus and a train. It took a hour to get there.

When we got to the train station we went to a Mos Burger. Emily said Mos Burger was like McDonalds but better, and it was better. While we were waiting for the others to finish up me and Emily sneaked over to a man selling food and made funny noises.

Once they had finished we went to a bike rental and rented bikes. First we went to an ice-cream place and got a ice-cream before we started our bike ride. After we finished our ice-cream we started biking. We were going to bike on a path along a lake.

The lake was huge. It seemed like it never ends. We needed to turn around after a while. Misquotes were flying in our faces so I had to ask for mums sun glasses. We biked back to the bike rental and put our bikes back and went back to the train station. We hoped on our train. After a while we got of the train.

We got out of the train station and walked for a while, then we came to a hot pot place. We ordered our hot pots.

The thing amazing about the hot pot place was you could get a drink, popcorn and you could make your own ice-cream! It was the best dinner ever.

After dinner we went back to the train station and went onto the train that took us to the bus station and went back to Taipei.

That was the best day ever and I hope I'll see them again.

And you know what, we did see them again!
