London

We spent our first full day in London looking around the streets, going to Buckingham palace and watching Harry Potter and the cursed child. To get into the city we took trains and buses.

Buckingham palace was stunning and the area outside the gates were very beautiful too. A tall golden statue stood in front of the palace and gardens full of multi coloured flowers surrounded it. Police dotted around the gardens, on foot, in cars and riding bikes. After waiting around the palace for half an hour, we watched the change of guards.

Next we started to make our way towards the theatre where we would watch Harry Potter. On the way we stopped at a large gate that was being guarded by two soldiers on horses. The walk was short and before we knew it we found ourselves at the theatre.

The performance was split into two parts, each one about two and a half hours long with an hour break in between. The show was amazing and very impressive. The effects with the magic were incredible! By the time the show finished it was around 9:00pm.

And that wraps up our first day out in London. I had a really good time and loved the city!
