Lake Bled, Slovenia - By Mila

We arrived after a long drive through the mountains. Lake Bled is a beautiful lake in Slovenia. It has an island in the middle of the lake with a Gothic Church dedicated to Mary. Mountains surround the lake, making the views picturesque. There is a medieval castle on a cliff face, and it is the oldest castle in Slovenia.
While we were there we went paddle boarding. The lake was stunning when we paddle boarded on it, but the best part was that we got to stand up on the board!
I went with mum and Hazel went with dad. After that, Ruby went on her own. Mum also went again and paddle boarded right round the island!
After paddle boarding we went to a small beach to have a picnic. We got pictures on a wharf and saw cute ducklings. We had crackers and wraps, then after that, an ice cream.
It was a great sunny day, and if anyone asked I would definitely go back there again.
My goodness Mila, that lake is stunning. Picture perfect with the castle in the background. Certainly looks like you struck a nice warm day. Hope you get to do sone more paddle boarding when you get home. I can see you all look pretty competent at it. What a great place for a picnic. Love Nana and Granddad
