We LOVED our week in Kas, a seaside town on the Mediterranean of Turkey. We had an apartment in the centre of town and because it was still low season, it was nice and chilled and parking was easy. We had homemade mezze for dinner every night and it was nice to be able to cook and prepare food ourselves.
Kas has beautiful beaches with views across to the Greek islands. Because it was off season boat trips were on hold while upgrades and prep work for the season ahead was completed. It was fun walking along the jetty and waterfront watching the boats being sanded and painted.
One of our days we spent hiking some of the Lichean way, which is a track in Kas. The walk led us up to a look out where we got some amazing photos of the town.
The town llike most of Turkey) was full of stary cats and dogs and they were all cared for by the locals and very friendly. People would feed them and leave bowls of water on the streets and shelters were doyted around the town.
We had our car so were able to go to lots of beaches and explore the area.
Here we were, after our long trip through Asia and Europe we were coming home. Our plane to Auckland was going to start boarding any minute now and I was sitting in the airport with my family. We all
Great bit of R&R in Kas. Loving the views, the blue sea as the sunshine. Very jealous 😀
Was Hazel sharing her lunch with the sweet little cat 🤣
