Our first stop in Romania was Bucharest where we stayed for 2 days. We stayed in an airbnb just outside of the city. To get to the metro we walked along the busy main road. It was very hot, so I didn’t want to stay out the whole day.

We took the metro close to a big park called Herastrau park. We were going to rent electric bikes, but the people that worked there said the power was out so they wouldn’t work. Inside the park we went to a playground, walked beside a lake, and also walked in nature.

Next we went to the old town, which was really pretty. It was a little busy too though. We went to an amazing three story bookstore, where we found books we liked from New Zealand in a different language.

After the old town we walked to Palace Parliament, the heaviest building in the world. By now we were all tired so we got chocolates to power us home. They tasted so good. Maybe I should get tired more often…
