Stepping onto a boat is a wonderfull feeling, especially when your doing it with your mum. So when I did hop on to the boat to travel round the ruins of Ayutthaya with mum I felt great. Once everyone was on, the boat started up and we went of to our first wat, Wat Pananchoeng. You can feed fish there and pray to the giant Buddha. We also hit the big gong three times. Mum and I saw people lighting wax flowers and putting them in water. It was beautiful.
After all that fun we jumped back onto the boat and drifted of to Wat Phuthaisawan. That's were we saw another giant Buddha, except this one was asleep. Dad told us that the actual Buddha was underneath it because he was getting to old and had to have a new cover. After the twenty minutes was up we got back onto the boat to go to Wat Chaiwattthanaram. We went there to watch the sunset. We took heaps of photos of the ruins at sunset there all so pretty.
Soon enough we went back into the Boat. We sailed all the way through the river. We wondered down small parts of the river and looked all the houses. The way they live and the styles of the houses are very different to NZ. To my surprise we had gone through a long cut and we were back at the dock. Stepping out of a boat is a little bit better than getting into a boat, but even though you are tired you are overwhelmed by all the fun they had had.
